This movie had some good parts, but most of it was ripping apart what we had already thought of the MIB universe, and gratuitous 3D scenes. I wasn’t watching it in 3D which made the gratuitous 3D scenes that much worse. The villain was impressive and understandable to a degree, which is pleasant in any movie. The 5th dimensional being and the Andy Warhol moment were the major redeeming parts of the movie.
The movie was confusing for much of it, but I really enjoyed it. At the end I started seeing how all of it came together, as a war for human rights, and cyclical oppression and redemption. The costumes were fantastic, especially where the Asian girl was made to look Irish/English. I would be up for seeing it once more but I don’t think I’d want to see it more times than that.
We watched this movie with Candice and Brian while waiting to go to the Sabercats game. It was a really good movie, but the starting premise was lost along the way with the main character being able to talk to all these ghosts that were around the city. Then zombies come along and the ghosts are completely forgot for the next 50% of the movie. It was a decently dark movie, and in some ways surprisingly so. I really enjoyed it and the end was pretty spectacular.
There were some strange plot holes in this movie, but all in all I really enjoyed it. The 3D was somewhat sickening, and the volume was way too loud. Steph, Brian, Candice, Nick, Adam, Rong, Riley, Andrew, Wit, and I went to see it together at the AMC Mercado 20. I look forward to watching it again, but without the 3D or overpowering sound. It was a very entertaining movie.
The plot in this was very predictable, and most of it was obvious. The development was decently shallow, as were the characters. That being said, I really enjoyed robots fighting superhumans. Some of the small twists were pleasant, and the banter was better than most movies. That is somewhat to be expected in an Ironman movie, but it was still pleasant to see. I don’t think I’d want to watch this movie again, as some of the earlier superhero movies had much better plots, and were overall more enjoyable. I went with Steph, Nick, Adam, Brian, Candice, Andrew, and Jeremy B. We went to the AMC Mercado 20 near Great America.
This was a ridiculous action film. There was a scene at the end that had the Terminator, Die Hard, Rocky/Rambo, and Walker Texas Ranger fighting together. There were so many action stars it was insane. The plot was stupid, but that was expected. I don’t think I’d ever want to see it again, but it was nice to relax to it once.
