Caryn came over for lunch today and to play with the kitties. They were really cute, and went out into the main area again. I cooked some of the eggs and veggies, she brought over a whole foods wrap. It was a good break for the middle of the day.
I was able to hold the kitties close to Howard today without them being upset. Howard and Archer even did some mutual sniffing. It was really good for them to be so calm together. I’m glad they are getting along, and soon I want to try having Howard moving around while they are there.
Archer and Lana were in the same room as Howard for an extended period of time, with him walking by them even, and there was little to no hissing. I’m impressed that they would be up to it so soon. I’m really glad they are getting along better. One more highly supervised time and then we can have a loose Howard I think.
While we were playing board games and cooking dinner we had Archer and Lana out. They were being so cute, and wandering all over the place. They seem to be getting much more comfortable with the space, and even were trying to get out of my room once I lured them back into there. I need to get some extra things to keep them off the chairs, tables, and out of the fireplace. They are pretty good kitties, and are staying social and playful. I’m so happy to have them.
The kitties were better today. They were playing more and exploring more. Lana was able to open the drawer on my bed and get underneath into the empty middle space. Luckily she was able to get back out again. I thing they are both getting much more comfortable in the room and are almost ready to get acquainted with Howard.
I went to the Palo Alto Animal Services to get 2 adorable kittens. One is an orange tabby and the other is a Siamese mix. They are soooo adorable. The orange tabby is a boy I’ve named “Archer” and the Siamese is a girl I’ve named “Lana.” I spend the day cuddling with them and getting them used to me and my room. We tried to introduce Howard, but Lana did not get along with him. I’ll ease them into Howard over the next few days. They are soooooo cute.
I finally met the 4th Roommate. He is a pretty chill guy from first impressions, and hopefully he will join us at board games night.
I asked him about getting kitties and he said he is ok with it! So now it is time to start ordering and planning for the kittens. I’m so excited about kitties!
